Glammy High Pressure Unit THE LITTLE BIG SOLARIUM Matrix Glammy, with its compact dimensions and design that perfectly matches any surroundings, unites high technology with the safety, comfort and efficiency. Glammy is certainly “glamorous”, but at the same time versatile, young, casual and trendy, with a name that reflects all its versatile characteristics. With electronic power control Glammy allows users to move easily from softer sessions, for users preferring relaxation, to more dynamic services. With 18 UV-A lamps, Matrix Glammy L18-ER has 3 large tanning units, each comprising 6 highpressure lamps with ER reflectors, giving powerful emissions with minimum power consumption. Two of the tanning units are located on the upper part of the solarium, and can be positioned manually. Developed in Europe 30 years ago for use in phototherapy treatment, high pressure lamps produce UV/A and UV/B in different ratios than conventional tanning beds: just enough UV/B to produce the melanin required to tan, and a lot of UV/A to oxidize that melanin and turn it a golden brown. What's better? High-pressure tanning? Or low. and medium-pressure tanning? Studies show that a combination of low-or medium-pressure tanning and high-pressure tanning produce the best and fastest results. High-pressure lamps are the fastest: a base tan can be established in as few as one to three visits compared to 10 or more visits to a low- pressure bed. What makes the Matrix equipment different? Until now, high-pressure tanning units provided exposure on one side only, requiring the tanner to turn over midway through a visit. The Matrix provides the 360 degree coverage usually associated with low-pressure beds. Why is 360 degree coverage important? 360 degree exposure cuts in half the time actually spent in the tanning unit: 12 to 15 minutes versus half an hour. Combine that with the fewer visits necessary to achieve a base tan and suddenly the advantages of high-pressure tanning become apparent. How quickly can I expect to tan in a high-pressure unit? High-pressure tanning is the quickest way to get deep, golden color fast.
